An interesting myth that you should come to know of is this doing high repetitions allow you to burn fat while low repetitions help you build muscles. This is simply not the case! Whether or not you do high repetitions or low repetitions, you will be burning fat. If you are concerned about extra weight, such a thing could be remedied by taking lower calories.
You must know that taking steroids isn’t the only reason why some people have huge muscles. They have huge muscles because of the proper combination between training and correct nutrition. While some men desperately want to build muscles, some women believe that strength training will make them look masculine. The truth is that you don’t end up looking like a wrestler after a day of strength training! This means that muscles are built up over time. Secondly, testosterone, the hormone which allows men to grow large muscles isn’t produced much in women.
One of the myths that a lot of people believe in is that if you work out, you can eat whatever you want. Yes, you can eat whatever you want if you work out, but it will defeat the whole purpose of your workout. You will need to work out twice as hard just to burn all the calories that you took in.
Another myth that is circulated among health buffs is that vegetarians cannot build muscles. This is entirely false. Vegetarians can build up muscles just like anyone. They can take Protein Isolate to complete the nutrients needed by the body. Related to this myth is the myth about eating more protein to build bigger muscles. Proteins can help build muscles but one’s body should not run on protein alone. You need carbohydrates! One must know that to build muscles, it needs muscle stimulation which can be done through repetitions and eating more calories.
No matter how tired some individuals are of training, they don’t take days off because they believe that they will lose whatever they have gained through their exercise. This is simply wrong. You can take days off, to help your body refresh and heal itself.
On the matter of soreness and pain, these two are different. When you do a new routine that your body and muscles are not used to, your body is going to be sore. When your body gets used to the exercise routine, the soreness will decrease. Once you begin to feel pain, don’t continue doing the exercise just because of the old saying “no pain no gain”.
