Even if you are so engrossed with your body building program, at times like this, you would not just lock up yourself in the gym or in your home gyms. You can try out different environments to perform body building routines especially during hot summer vacation. It is certainly recommended that you add variety to your training routines and one of which is getting a vacation. You would know that even a die-hard body builder would not just stick to his or her program routines. Most of them travel a lot especially those who are into going from one state to another to join competitions.
Nonetheless, it does not mean that travel results to an interruption of your training routines. You will realize that wherever you are and whatever environment you are in, such as in a hotel, you can also keep at pace with your routines. However, you should be realistic enough in doing body building trainings while traveling. You must remember what your priority and purpose for the travel.
If you intend to travel and have fun, then you might as well think that the most productive training that you can do while on travel is at most half of your regular training routines. Thus, it helps if you plan where you would stay and ask if there are fitness training centers or facilities in it. Most hotels though are equipped with at least a fitness center that has treadmills, steppers, stationary bikes, and weights. If there are none, make sure that you stay in a hotel or a place where there is a nearby gym especially if you will be out on vacation for a couple of weeks.
Do not forget to bring basic training workout gadgets such as the resistance band. With this, you can make at least 8-12 repetitions of a number of training routines. You can also keep challenging your muscles with basic routines such as the biceps and triceps curl, push-ups, squats, front raises, hamstring kicks and many others.
Also, you can try out a number of recreational activities that would help you build your muscles such as walking around and enjoying the scenery, jogging, biking, hiking and trekking, beach volleyball, and other water sports such as pedal boat excursions and water skiing. Finally, instead of using the elevator of the hotel, you may try the stairs and that will make a good cardiovascular workout for the day.
