Under normal circumstances, exercise is very good for you, no matter how old you are. Americans are great for starting an exercise program and abandoning it after a week or two. It is understandable that memberships in exercise club sere expensive so is equipment that is usually more or less in the way and there is no room for anyway in most modern homes. Most exercise programs are boring and time consuming which is one reason they are doomed to failure. The key to success is to make it a better experience

Why We Abandon Our Exercise Programs

The term fitness seems to bring up negative thoughts, such I don't have the time at all or I will not have any time to do the things I like to do. Besides that, it is a bore. In this day and age when we all lead such busy lives, it's too easy to say, some day I will work it into my schedule. The better thing to do is make it a more enjoyable experience. In this way your program will not be put last with social activities, work, necessary shopping, watching TV and anything else you can think of coming first.

Try getting your husband to go with you for Tango lessons or whatever dance you prefer. Buy yourself a pretty new dress for the occasion. Do Yoga with the kids, its always nice to have company. In the early morning, they have exercise programs which are quite nice, they are free of charge and you do not have to worry about getting there or join the YWCA with some friends. They always have fun exercise classes.
